Reverence sat back and took off her glasses, another long day, and now she had the worst fucking headache in the world. Maybe she was working too hard. Maybe.
She moved to the couch and flipped on the news, the stuff about the explosion was on. For the first time, she saw the CCTV footage and her eyes narrowed with just a little suspicion. Blurry as it was, she had a pretty good guess who it probably was.
Maxwell Conner.
She knew him well enough, but she didn't go much by what they told her at work, she'd known more than that. But that had been a very long time ago. Perhaps, he had changed. No, not by much, she'd surmise. And yet she was wondering much the same thing as many others.
"Maxwell, what are you doing now?" She murmered, head still acheing slightly.
It seemed so very long ago, that she'd watched the young boy working so very hard, sometimes with those members of the mafia, that her parents had known so well. They'd all called her the little dark haired angel, adored her quiet, polite attitude. Truely, she despised them. They had been crooks and criminals and she had no love for anyone who did their job. Especially-
Reverence shuddered and deflected her thoughts back to that Eric fellow. She'd heard rumors about what job he was taking on, but they were just rumors weren't they? Well regardless, she almost wished she could have been of more help, she'd even asked her superiors, if they needed help with any other tasks. They had politly told her they didn't want her to kill herself, even for the sake of the DPS. She thought about what it might be like to meet face to face with Maxwell again. She wondered, if he'd remember the seriouse girl, who was always watching him with a stony gaze, wondering what he was up to, even then.
She hadn't cared about much then, atleast now, she had a purpose.
